Alumnus Michael Nevergall G’13 joins the North Park community again in his new role as vice president for advancement. Nevergall, previously a gift planner at Gustavus Adolphus College, will lead alumni engagement and fundraising, partnering with and reporting to President Surridge. “The distinctive core values of North Park spoke to me when I was a student, and they still resonate with me today. I am excited to partner with my fellow North Park alumni and friends to build an exciting next chapter in the university’s story,” he said.
Nevergall will execute the university’s next fundraising campaign, which evolves from the emerging strategic plan and campus master plan.
Nevergall has a history of nonprofit work, having held positions at Upbring, a faith-based human services provider, and at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Valparaiso University and his Master of Nonprofit Administration, with a concentration in fundraising management, at North Park.
“Mike emerged as the premier candidate from a strong and diverse pool of finalists, and I have full confidence in his leadership and our partnership as we pursue the university’s development priorities,” said President Surridge.
