Associate Professor Vollmert is dedicated to introducing students to the significant contributions marketing makes within organizations. He is passionate about nurturing his students’ desire to master the knowledge and skills required for a successful career in the field.
“No longer is marketing a viable career only for those who ‘are creative and like people.’ If you excel at analysis and numbers, perfect—we have marketing research, pricing, distribution and supply chain, and marketing analytics. If you thrive on interacting with people, wonderful—we have professional selling and consumer behavior/insights. Perhaps you are an outstanding writer—we have public relations and content marketing. If you are artistic and creative, we have advertising with an emphasis on graphic design or audio/visual production. And if you enjoy working with the internet and social media, we have digital marketing,” he explains.
Vollmert strives to make a difference in the lives of his students. “I firmly believe that only through God’s Grace did I come to ÂÜÀòÉç, and I am privileged to join my students on their academic and life journeys. In my time here, I’ve heard it often said that being a faculty member at ÂÜÀòÉç is not a job but a calling. I couldn’t agree more.”

As the NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative for ÂÜÀòÉç, Vollmert is a liaison between athletics and academics to create a supportive environment that enhances the academic and athletic experiences of ÂÜÀòÉç’s student-athletes.
“Student-athletes are integral to the success of most colleges and universities. I greatly respect the leaders, coaches, and staff of the Division of Athletics for their unwavering commitment to helping our student-athletes become the best version of themselves, whether in their sports, academics, or lives. I’m truly grateful to be one small cog in the wheel.”, he states.
Furthermore, he shares, “I often say that being a student-athlete is equivalent to working a full-time job, but with no pay. Balancing the demands of academics and athletics is very challenging. I’m nothing short of amazed at our student-athletes’ commitment, drive, and effort, and I welcome any opportunity to assist them in their efforts.”
