Trinity Mitchell (b. 2002) is a student at ÂÜÀòÉç in Chicago studying for their BA in Fine Arts and Scandinavian Studies. They spent their childhood in Pennsylvania stargazing with their family and now focuses on the mythos created through constellations. Through this language of mythology, Trinity connects human and animal experience. Their work aligns the cruelty of humans toward one another with human cruelty toward animals. Trinity incorporates paint, charcoal, digital, and printmaking to create expressive imagery in their works. They also serve as the graphic designer for The North Branch 2023 edition. Trinity’s work has been showcased in the Junior Show in North Park’s Carlson Gallery, the Scholarship Show in Brandel Library, as well as featured in Vista magazine, North Park’s student voices magazine, and in The North Branch literary and fine art magazine.
