How to Apply to and Audition for the School of Music, Art, and Theatre

There is no fee to apply. Students may apply anytime with classes starting in January and August.
In addition to the application please upload the following:
- Two recommendations
- Personal statement
- Resume (including repertoire studied)
- Official transcripts
Transcripts from each school you have attended may be uploaded in the application portal, emailed to Megan Kerwin, or mailed to:

Audition and Interview Dates

- Saturday, March 1, 2024 (electronic submission due)
Individual appointments are available upon request through May 1.
The use of prerecorded accompaniment tracks is permitted.

Singers are required to perform three pieces as follows:

One art song of your choice

One aria either from an opera or an oratorio

A vocal piece of your choice, such as a piece composed after 1900 or a legit musical theatre piece that can be sung in classical style.
Selections should be sung in English and at least one additional language.
Collaborative Piano Audition Requirements
Pianists should prepare the following four art songs (each in the high key) and a solo piano work of your choice, memorization optional. When possible, please collaborate with a vocalist on recorded auditions.
- “St瓣ndchen” by Johannes Brahms (G major)
- Il pleure dans mon coeur or “Mandoline” by Claude Debussy (choose 1)
- Morgen by Richard Strauss (measures 1 through the downbeat of measure 16)
- A 20th or 21st century vocal art song
Scholarships and Tuition
