Resources for Possible Tax Benefits

Many North Park students and their parents will qualify for education-related tax benefits. While ÂÜÀòÉç does not provide personal tax advice, here are some resources from the IRS which may be beneficial:

Outside Scholarships

The Financial Aid Office is often notified of scholarship opportunities outside of ÂÜÀòÉç aid. You can find a list of those scholarships below as well as some helpful resources when searching for scholarships. We do not recommend applying for any scholarships that require a fee.

Scholarship funds are due to ÂÜÀòÉç for the fall semester by October 1 and by March 1 for the spring semester.

General Resources:

Please note that ÂÜÀòÉç is not affiliated with any of the scholarships listed below and this is not an exhaustive list of all available outside scholarships.

: Scholarship of $1,000 offered monthly to students who write an essay in response to a prompt from their website. Deadline: 15th of each month

: The NIH UGSP will pay up to $20,000 per academic year in tuition, educational expenses, and reasonable living expenses to scholarship recipients.

LA Tutors proudly grants a $500 Innovation in Education scholarship to students who demonstrate creativity and positive impact. This ongoing monthly scholarship is open to currently enrolled high school, college, and graduate students showcasing their creativity in various ways, from creative fundraisers to innovative apps or insightful blog posts. The application deadline is 11:59 pm PST on the 20th of each month.
