Scholarships

The School of Nursing and Health Sciences is committed to providing qualified nurses with a quality education. All applicants to nursing master’s degree and post-master’s certificate programs are automatically evaluated for available North Park scholarships.

These scholarships are awarded based on your academic performance during your bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) program; they will not be awarded based on your academic work during the completion of your graduate studies.

True cumulative GPA for all your BSN coursework will be calculated by North Park based on your official BSN transcript, taken into consideration every class and its grade, including grades earned on courses that have been accepted for transfer credit by the BSN degree-conferring school, and we will determine whether you qualify for one of the following academic scholarships:

Delores Johnson Founders Scholarship

The Delores Johnson Founders scholarship provides a 35% tuition reduction to students who are full-time employees of a 501(c) organization or a local, state, or federal government agency. No scholarship application is required, but eligibility must be verified in writing on the organization’s letterhead. The scholarship is awarded upon admission and written confirmation of eligibility.

Presidential Scholarship

The Presidential Scholarship provides a 30% tuition reduction to students with a true cumulative BSN grade point average of 3.50 or higher (on a 4.00 scale). This scholarship is renewable throughout your graduate nursing program as long as you maintain a GPA of 3.00 at North Park. Students receiving full tuition assistance from their employers are not eligible for this award; it is the University’s policy that North Park-provided financial aid cannot exceed the cost of tuition for a term.

Dean’s Scholarship

The Dean’s Scholarship provides a 15% tuition reduction to students with a true cumulative BSN grade point average of between 3.30 and 3.49 (on a 4.00 scale).
