If you have a non-nursing bachelor’s degree and a desire to transition to a rewarding career providing quality healthcare to others as a nurse, the Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing (DEMSN) track is part of the MSN CCNE accredited degree and designed for you. In this accelerated program, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide safe, competent, and compassionate care to patients.

As a master’s prepared nurse, you’ll be able to transition to post-graduate certificate programs in nursing education, leadership and management, and advanced practice nursing. You’ll also set yourself apart in the nursing field with an advanced degree.

Clinical Experience

During the program, students will complete clinical rotations that align with their coursework and prepare them to enter the field with skill and confidence. All clinical rotations are held in hospitals and community sites recognized for nursing excellence including Swedish Hospital, NorthShore University HealthSystem, Lurie Children’s Hospital, Lawndale Community Health Center, and others.

Pre-Licensure

Students who complete the requirements for a Master of Science in Nursing through ÂÜÀòÉç’s DEMSN track will be qualified to apply for the professional nurse licensing examination, the NCLEX-RN. Graduates who pass this exam become licensed as a registered nurse (RN) and are eligible to work in a healthcare setting.
