Vocal Ensembles
Chamber Singers
The Chamber Singers is a small, select group of singers (both undergraduate and graduate students) that specializes in Renaissance and Baroque music while including music of many styles and periods. Multiple performances are presented on- and off-campus every year, and major tours are scheduled every second or third year. Between eight and 16 spots are available in this group, directed by . It is open to music majors and non-music majors by audition.
Gospel Choir
The Gospel Choir performs contemporary sacred music from the spiritual and gospel genres. A select ensemble of singers, drawn from the choir by audition, serves as a touring ensemble for the group. Performance opportunities include concerts, chapel services, and worship services at local churches. This group is co-directed by Terrance Smith and Tracy Stingley. The main choir is open to all singers; no audition is required.
University Choir
Under the direction of , the University Choir performs a varied repertoire of sacred and secular music. This select group of experienced singers (both undergraduate and graduate students), chosen by audition, performs regularly on- and off-campus throughout the year, with periodic national and international touring opportunities. Music majors and non-majors are welcome to audition.
Upper Voice Chorale
This ensemble of upper-voice vocalists performs a wide variety of music, including folk, popular, and religious songs; selections from cantatas; and classical pieces in Latin and French. The repertory is often enhanced with obligato instruments. Open to music majors and non-music majors by audition.
Worship Teams
Coordinated by Grace Wong, student worship teams lead music for campus-wide chapel and services throughout the school year. Both vocalists and instrumentalists are welcome, and lead music from a variety of worship traditions. These teams are open to both music majors and non-majors by audition.
