Why Study Nonprofit Management?

The nonprofit sector in the U.S. is a major economic engine, employing 10% of our workforce. From serving youth and the aging to preserving wildlife and the arts, this network of social-impact organizations provides essential services not filled by the government or for-profit sector.

Faculty Spotlight: Dr. Pier Rogers

Dr. Pier Rogers has spent over 25 years in the nonprofit sector, actively researching, teaching, and leading organizations. She directs the Axelson Center, the premier resource for training and tools to the nonprofit sector in the Midwest.

Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) Credential

North Park is one of a select number of universities that offers the Certified Nonprofit Professional (or CNP) credential through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, a national network of universities and social-impact organizations working to build a talent pipeline for the nonprofit sector. completed by LinkedIn shows that CNPs are seven times more likely to reach a leadership position compared to their non-CNP peers.
